Tilburg turns September into 'Refashion Month' with a mission
After a highly successful first last year, Tilburg's city centre will once again transform into a Valhalla for lovers of sustainable, vintage fashion and upcycling in September. In a world awash with fast fashion, Tilburg opts for slow, stylish and smart in September. Refashion Month is not a clothing month, it is a statement. Here, fashion takes on multiple lives and meaning. All about conscious, local buying, reusing and upcycling clothes and accessories.

Huge pile of clothing fast fashion
Sustainable fashion movement grows in Tilburg
Vintage and upcycling are booming - also in Tilburg, as the city of makers. The city centre welcomes more and more shops with a second-hand offer and established entrepreneurs are also furnishing part of their business with vintage gems. In addition, awareness among consumers is growing. A perfect basis for the second 'Refashion Month! Because although September is known as fashion month with a new season in sight, Tilburg opts for a sustainable approach with a focus on local and conscious buying and giving a second life to clothes, items and materials.
Free Fashion, no-waste workshops, Glamourday Refashioned Edition and more
Tilburg Refashion Month's programme includes something for everyone. FREE Fashion kicks off with the opening of the FREE Fashion Kids Store in the Emmapassage on 6 September, where you can shop free items and enjoy an exclusive performance by Swarmers. Every weekend in September, there will be free creative workshops at the Center of Tilburg Pop-up Park on Pieter Vreedeplein within the upcycling theme. Also here are the mobile Free Fashion clothing racks, where clothes can be exchanged and donated for free. The month ends with the Glamourday Refashioned Edition on 27 September, where sustainable fashion and beauty can be discovered on the Pieter Vreedeplein and in the Emmapassage. From workshops and activities for young and old to styling and colour advice. Finally, there will be a 'Re-where' route through the city centre, where you can see at a glance, while shopping, where you can score second-hand, where you can go for repair or upcycling or where you can donate clothes yourself. Good news! Because even after Refashion Month, this route will remain visible in the city centre.
