Hooray! Gianotten Mutsaers is the first shop in the revamped Emmapassage
For months now, the Emmapassage has been a huge construction site. For a good cause, of course: an entirely new shopping area with a spacious and modern look will open here from 2021. However, 2021 is still quite far away. Fortunately, there is some good news: the first completely new shop in the Emmapassage opened its doors last month. Which shop that is? Gianotten Mutsaers! A familiar face in this area, as the shop was also previously located in the Emmapassage.
Gianotten Mutsaers is not just any bookstore. It is the bookstore of Tilburg. Thus, the bookshop is large and has a very wide selection. Think literature, but also the latest young adult books. And of course, the bookshop also has cookbooks, gift items and second-hand books. With the reopening, the completely revamped shop has been given a completely new look. For instance, the shop has been remodelled, there is a new lunch café, and the whole place has been given a much fresher look.
What exactly will the revamped Emmapassage look like? The roof is - and will remain - off, giving the whole area a bright look. It should also become more stylish and cosy. Thus, there will be many completely renewed shops and catering establishments.
